Can GE reinvent leadership development?

General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt says his company trains the best business leaders in the world. Yet they haven’t saved him from a hellish decade that cut GE’s value in half. Some insiders fear that the company’s famous Crotonville training sessionsare distracting teams from their core business goals while leaving the company locked in a stodgy, 20th-century way of doing business.
