Since its inception, LeaderLab has been dedicated to actively promoting the application of research and theoretical models in leadership and organizational behavior. Today we’re pleased to announce that we’re adding to the efforts of LeaderLab by working with current scholars to help shape the research being undertaken.
We believe our community readers are a great resource on leadership and on real-life working inside of organizations. We’re targeted our first project, which first involves the validation of a new inventory to be used for research purposes. The inventory being developed seeks to measure a specific characteristic of work climate, mainly the ethics-related elements of the work climate. The research undertaken aims to validate this measure and test is against organization performance indicators.
The first step is to validate the scale, and so we’re asking you to help by taking the inventory yourself. Simply click the link at the bottom of this post and you’ll be taken to a secure, confidential survey site. The inventory itself consists of around 60 items and should take 10-15 minutes to complete.
As a reward for your help, upon completion of the survey you’ll be provided with a report on your organization’s ethics-related work climate. Should you choose, you can then enter your email address and, when the research is compiled and analyzed, you’ll also receive a report on the climate norms for all organizations surveyed.

We’re excited about giving our community the opportunity to help shape the research field and hope you’ll respond by taking the survey and signing up to receive the report.
