What

LeaderLab is a community of resources dedicated to the advancement of leadership theory. We believe there is a great need for real-life leaders to embrace the research and promote the practice of leadership theory. However, leadership theory is often condemned to strictly academic circles because practitioners haven not been given simple explanations on how to apply the best of leadership theory.

Why

Leadership theory represents those aspects of leadership that have been tested rigorously with consistent results. More than just the anecdotal claims of a few successful leaders, theory benefits from its examination of what works and what doesn’t seem to work when leading others. LeaderLab seeks to connect the theorists with real-world leaders.

Who

LeaderLab is a free service contributed to by a range of scholars and practitioners. From organizational leaders to consultants to professors, our contributors believe that there is a place in the “real world” for leadership theory and research, if its presented in a practitioner-friendly format.
